AI Governance & Compliance Engineer

As AI Governance & Compliance Engineer you will be the guardian of trust and regulatory excellence atSingularity IO. You will design, implement, and continuously improve the governance layer that ensures all our agentic systemsmeet the highest standards of the EU AI Act, DSG/GDPR, and enterprise risk requirements.This is a high-impact role at the intersection of technology, regulation, and ethics.

• Develop and maintain AI governance policies, risk classification, and control frameworks  

• Implement human-in-the-loop, audit trails, and explainability mechanisms using LangSmith-style tracing  

• Conduct compliance assessments for new agent deployments (high-risk vs limited-risk classification)  

• Design automated monitoring and reporting systems for regulatory adherence  

• Support client projects with governance documentation and technical audits  

• Stay ahead of evolving EU AI Act requirements and translate them into practical platform features

• 4+ years of experience in AI governance, compliance, or responsible AI  

• Strong understanding of the EU AI Act, DSG/GDPR, and risk-based AI regulation  

• Practical experience with AI auditing tools, bias detection, and explainability techniques  

• Technical background in Python, LangGraph, or LLM workflows is highly valued  

• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable engineering solutions

• Within 30 days: You will have mapped our current platform against EU AI Act requirements and identified priority improvements.  

• Within 90 days: You will have implemented automated governance checks that reduce compliance review time by 50%.  

• Within 6 months: You will be the recognized authority on sovereign AI compliance and will support multiple client deployments.
